Meet Our New Chief Development Officer!

EXCITING LEADERSHIP TEAM UPDATES AT SF SAFEHOUSE!

San Francisco SafeHouse is excited to announce the hire of our organization's first ever Chief Development Officer, Chelsea Leonard

Chelsea will be responsible for our overall development strategy, assisting with the planning and execution of next year's many 25th Anniversary celebrations, and will be focusing her efforts on building relationships with individuals, foundations and corporations with the ability to give generously towards our mission and continuing to grow and expand our programs.

We invite you to learn more about Chelsea and this new position by reading our most recent press release and reviewing FAQ’s below:

Why Did SFSH Invest in This Position Now?
We are extremely grateful to have a dedicated group of generous donors, but in recent years, SFSH has been primarily funded through city and state grants. Unfortunately, the need for adequate resources and safe spaces for unhoused women continues to grow exponentially and is rapidly outpacing current funding sources. Without investment into the cultivation and retention of new donors, we cannot continue to effectively serve our clients.

What Can I Expect as a Current/Former Supporter of SFSH?
For the first few months, Chelsea will be meeting with current donors and stakeholders to learn why they contribute to us, more about their passion for our work, what people have enjoyed about being a part of this community, and brainstorm how we can do better in the future.

What if I Want to Learn More?
We’d love to answer any of your questions, receive your feedback, and share our vision of the future of SFSH! You may contact Chelsea Leonard at chelsea@sfsafehouse.org or Toni Eby, Executive Director, at toni@SFSafeHouse.org.

Thank you for your incredible support of San Francisco SafeHouse over the years. We are so excited to take this next step of growth alongside our community and look forward to sharing our successes with you!
